Food Trip #1: Little Kitchen Restaurant
I’ve heard so much about Little Kitchen Restaurant
And I have been wanting to try them out
This used to be where Batchoy King was
After so many years of dishing out their famous batchoy
They decided to run a quaint restaurant called
Little Kitchen
For starters, we were offered a free basket of toasted garlic bread
It was hard-toasted and tasted buttery than with garlic
Well at least it served its purpose in controlling my hunger
They were generous with their spaghetti with meatballs
It smelled delicious and tasted really good
This one’s truly an Italian dish baked for the Pinoy palate
I also tried their Shrimp Scampi Pizza
This one’s really tasty, oven-cooked to the customers’ delight
The crust is not too thin nor thick and that for me was perfect
I also ordered their Salisbury Steak which came with vegies and rice
This is basically two hamburger patties in generous serving of gravy
Nothing fancy about this viand but I find it passable just the same
This one’s my favorite: Sizzling Shrimp Scampi in a hot plate
I so loved the overflowing slices of white onion bulbs
And the shrimps were tender and tasted really nice
As for the interiors, I loved its homey ambience and classy decor
The tables were full that time yet service was not hampered
I find the “cramp” atmosphere apt for now
Little Kitchen Restaurant is owned and managed by Dr. Aret Macaranas-Dometita. It is located along President Quirino Avenue corner Zapote Street. They serve lunch and dinner, from Monday to Saturday. You may call them at (083)-303-1586 or email them at [email protected]

I am so glad to find The Little Kitchen as the first entry to your new foodtripping blog!
Truly, I am proud of this little place because it was a challenge to build. The most exciting part was recycling materials from the old Batchoy King. Did you notice the main door frame, the counter and the divider going to the kitchen? hehehe
As for the food, all I can say is they all go straight to the heart… because Doc Aret cooks from the heart and not for the pocket. hahaha. Very inexpensive, top-class dining, di ba?
Some of my favorites:
Shrimp Scampi Pizza
Any of the Rice Toppings they serve for lunch
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Buco Pandan with Lychee
This Japanese named sandwich… I forgot.
Buffalo Wings
Kalbi Chim
The burger!!
Lumpiang Fresh
Bread Pudding
Baked Potato
You should try the Baked Bangus and the Bangus Sisig… mapapapikit ka!!!
Plus, I heard that there are a lot of goodlooking diners there… :-0

let me know kung papunta kayo dito pie ah….
We happened to dine at LK for the first time about 2 months ago. The place’s great — it was small, quiet and cozy, yet great because of the good, fairly-priced food. Made us not miss Batchoy King
Hope though it doesn’t soon get very crowded after the good reviews; because that won’t make it “little” anymore
Congrats on your new blog, Kuya Ormz! Winner na naman ito next year!
the place is becoming popular na. sarap naman kasi ng food and hindi gaano kamahalan. i hope the owners resist expanding immediately and just let it flow. they should first assure themselves of a steady flow of LOYAL customers para sigurado…
