Food Trip #10: piYESta KTV & Resto|Bar

Dining at piYESta KTV & Resto|Bar has always been a rewarding experience

I consider this my happy place because of its superb service and great food

In this food trip, I will be focusing on their piYESta Meals

piYESta has upped the bar by offering combo-meals for groups of five

Each combo meal includes hot soup, brown steamed rice and pampagana (appetizer)

piYESta Meal #2 consist of Battered Chicken and Pansit Canton (P550.00)

This is Breaded Chicken cuts that are delicious but has no greasy after-taste

I’m a pansit-addict so I know a good pansit when I taste one – this one get’s an “A” from me

The combination of two of my favorite comfort foods is just perfect

I actually forgot about the brown steamed rice and just dug in

piYESta Meal #5 is Lumpia Shanghai and Sweet & Sour Pork (P550.00)

This is one combo meal that you will need your brown steamed rice

I particularly like the lumpia shanghai because the stuffing used is TUNA

It does not have the seafood taste of tuna and actually taste like pork

The sweet & sour pork balances this combo and does not overpower

The meat is tender and its sweetness does not have the umay-effect

piYESta Meal #4 is Breaded Pork, Pinakbet and Sweet & Sour Fish

Their Pinakbet is the best pakbet that I’ve tasted ever with choices of pork or seafood variety

The vegies are not overcooked and the bagoong mix is just right

piYESta must have perfected their sweet & sour viands because the fish variety is also good

Their breaded pork didn’t need anymore sauce – it really tasted just fine, as is

piYESta Meal #6 is what I call the Seafood-Lover-Platter that is muy magnifico

It consist of Tuna Buntot (tail), Binusog na Squid, Kinilaw na Chada and Crispy Shrimps

The Tuna Buntot is first cooked as paksiw then deep-fried in vegetable oil

Binusog na Squid is grilled and stuffed with onions and tomatoes

Kinilaw na Chada is tuna kinilaw topped with “imported” CDO lemon slices

Now can you spell M-A-G-I-C-A-L?
