Food Trip #14: Handuraw Pizza

Handuraw is Cebuano which means “the power to imagine”

Handuraw Pizza recently opened in Davao after gaining popularity in Cebu

They pride themselves as being the best tasting thin crust pizza

I had the chance to check them myself last week

I was with the Team Avatar Media for a meeting

Ria ordered Mozzarella Triangles (88.00) for starters

These are actually deep-fried mozzarella cheese with a mayo dip

The exterior  portion was crisp and tasted more like a light, crispy batter with the cheese melted on the inside

The mayo dip  was an excellent contrast to the cheese making it an outstanding appetizer

We also ordered the All-Meat Bolognese Pasta (88.00)

This classic Italian dish done the Handuraw-way is a must-order

The sauce is not only thick – it also is very meaty which is what Bolognese is all about

The spaghetti pasta is cooked al dente which made it an even more delectable viand

Since Brendel is on a no-meat diet we ordered the Seafood Delight Pizza (288.00)

Meatless, this pizza offering is topped with squid rings, scallops, baby shrimps, onions and mozzarella

Their homemade tomato sauce tasted sweet and it helped bring out the richness of this pizza

Does this make the grade as the best thin-crust pizza?  Read on…

Andrew, Lyle and I are meat-lovers so we ordered the Handuraw Special Pizza (308.00)

No wonder this is their bestseller because they are very generous with their toppings

This one consist of an all-meat bounty of pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and bacon

Toppings of mushroom, olives, onion rings, mozzarela cheese, green bell pepper and fresh tomatoes completes this pizza

What makes it an even more delightful meal is the crispiness of its crust

Handuraw Pizza indeed is one of the best thin-crust pizza in town

Handuraw Pizza is located at Quirino Avenue corner J. Camus Street, Davao City. I is just a few steps away from People’s Park, Davao Doctors Hospital and Gaisano Grand Citi Mall and just beside Sampaguita Hotel.  Not being a Davaoeno, we got lost trying to find this dainty nook.  It took for Peter to drive slow so that we can check every sign board along the way. Anyway, the restaurant looked modern and the ambience was okay.  Handuraw Pizza is open from Monday to Sunday (9:00 am to 7:00 pm).  They are actually open for Franchise.  Click here for details.  In Davao, you can call them at (082) 305- 4848.  Click here to like them at FaceBook.  Click here to visit their website.
