It was Kuya Avel who introduced me to this prized offering of Yellow Fin Seafood & Restaurant
The first time I visited, I thought it was one of the run-of-the-mill turo-turo (fast food) restos
Kuya Avel immediately led me to their air-conditioned area where we ordered their
GREASELESS FRIED CHICKEN (158.00)
There are other food offerings in their menu but Kuya Avel insisted that I order this one
You have a choice of steamed rice or mashed potato – I chose steamed rice
For sidings, it’s the usual coleslaw, two slices of pipino and a slice of tomato
And lest I forget, they serve you with a bowl of hot clear soup after you have ordered
Their fried chicken looked greaseless enough and smelled delicious
I took a pinched of the chicken skin and was pleasantly surprised of how crispy it was
Together with this viand is an individual serving of their gravy which tasted just right
I decided to have banana catsup mixed with worcestershire sauce for my dip though
Now back to the greaseless chicken which was sooooo unlike Max’s
The outer layer may be crispy but the chicken meat was very juicy and tasty
If Max’s has a slogan of “Sarap to the Bones!”
For me, Yellow Fin’s slogan should be: “UBOS TO THE BONES!”
Need I say more? Go and check them out!
